"Anyone who knows Steve knows that he does not like waste and that he believes in recylcing. When he first met Lee Mielke a local self-taught artist , some years ago, he placed a sculpture of 'the sisters' in the butterfly garden. The sisters are now joined by Lee Mielke's - blue heron.

When I asked Steve 'did we do good' (once he unveiled the sculpture), he cracked a smile and said 'yeah, ya did good', but I felt we 'did good' when Karen unveiled the large photo of the sculpture placed on an easel and there were sounds of awe from the crowd."

Thanks Steve, it has been a pleasure volunteering at Crocodile Lake under your watch
